Bigtato all'anagrafe Renato Benzoni, nato nell'agosto 1986 a Cadenazzo nel Canton Ticino (Svizzera). La passione per i graffiti risale forse all'infanzia, perché già alle scuole elementari passavo molto tempo a scarabocchiare qua e là… e poi nel 1998, durante un corso estivo, ho preso in mano la prima bomboletta spray! Dopo quella prima esperienza, in mancanza di spazi (ovvero: muri) su cui esprimermi, ho continuato a esercitarmi sulla carta, finché nel 2000 ho potuto riprendere a fare graffiti con le bombolette, iniziando… dal garage di casa mia. Nello stesso anno io e l'amico Styun abbiamo fondato la IOS Crew che è ancora attiva. Da allora ho iniziato a dipingere anche con Panho, un vecchio amico d'infanzia, e proprio insieme a lui, dopo una giornata passata a fare graffiti con degli amici della Svizzera tedesca, vengo invitato a far parte della loro USB Crew . Grazie a questo gruppo ho potuto partecipare a delle Jam in Svizzera interna e in Germania e, nel frattempo, grazie ai miei amici, sono anche entrato in contatto e ho poi potuto collaborare in diverse manifestazioni con writers provenienti da tutta l'Italia… una collaborazione che dura ancora oggi! Nel futuro spero di potermi spostare sempre di più in giro per il mondo, visitando paesi sconosciuti e soprattutto facendo graffiti e stringendo nuove amicizie. Per un mondo più colorato!
Bigtato , real name Renato Benzoni, born in August 1986 in Cadenazzo, Canton Ticino (Switzerland). My passion for grafittis goes all the way back to my childhood, where already in school I passed the time drawing here and there.. Then, in 1998, during a summer school I attended, for the first time in my life I put my hands on a spraycan. After that initial experience, being that I didn't have any spots (walls) where I could express myself, I kept practicing on paper, untill I got the chance in the year 2000 to continue doing graffitis with real spraycans, beginning with.... my homes garage. That same year, my friend Styun and I founded IOS crew that is still active today. Since then I also started spray painting with Panho, an old friend of mine, who, after a whole day of graffitis in the swiss german part of switzerland, invited me to be a part of his group called USB crew . Thanks to this new crew I got the possibility to participate at several jams in Switzerland and in Germany, and in the meantime, still thanks to my friends, I also made other contacts that permitted me to collaborate in other manifestations with writers from all over Italy.... A collaboration that still goes on to this day. In the future I hope I'll get the chance to travel around the world, visiting new countries making grafittis and establishing new friendships. For a world more colourful!
